there is so much in my life that i want to achieve

i want to be an artist; to express myself in a painting.
i want to be a musician; so you can hear me.
i want to though be a teacher; even it would be the last thing i would do, i want to make a difference to peoples lives.

200 years ago woman were not on this planet to have an education and to have a career, or even a life.
50 years ago women did have an education, but their purpose in life was still the same 'to get married by the age of 20 and have children.' its funny how things change, and are they always for the good?
women in the '50s could wear clothes and still be called beautiful.
hardly spoken were the words abortion, divorce, contraception; yet they now are common words in our everyday life. back then they were a sin, religion was everything.

now er days its OK to get married and have a child, get divorced, meet someone else and then have another child. love is an overused word.
we are now allowed to have a life, go to college, get a job, travel etc.

of course we have all heard of the saying 'you can't have your cake and eat it too' yet these days, I'm not sure if everyone understands it.

I've grown up/am growing up, in a world where pornographic images are everywhere.
people being famous for their promiscuity.
where looks are everything, where teenagers are on diets, where 18 year olds are being frowned upon for starting a family, and where music has become computerised.

so maybe we can thank God for giving women a chance, but don't take advantage of what we have got. we can still live life and do crazy things, make mistakes and learn from them. just as long as we understand these things.
